Uh-oh

Cole and I walk out in the backyard this afternoon, and meet these two lovebirds preening bugs out of the lawn:



They're sandhill cranes, a pair who have been living in our neighborhood for the past five years. The bigger of the two is almost as tall as I am.

I don't think they can nest in the grill, but I moved it into the garage anyway.
