Fall Arrives

First fall leaf I've spotted, this one on my Japanese maple.

I know this sounds like a really stupid question or observation or however you want to classify it, but I guess I didn't realize that your leaves turn in Florida! And isn't that a gorgeous color?

Believe it or not, I've already been raking and bagging leaves. Some trees are just now starting to turn, though, and it's becoming full on fall. Love this time of year!

It depends where you are in Florida -- only part of the state is green year-round; some of the central and all of the northern inland part of the state is much less tropical, more like Georgia and Alabama. :)

Amen. For the next couple of weeks I will have the pleasure of watching my Japanese maple turn into a scarlet blaze (then the leaves all fall off and it's a big next of twigs until February.) I'll also be raking up lots of oak leaves. :)
