Kat's Tiny Piano

The high school kid is taking 3-D art this semester, and one of the class assignments was to make a small paper mache project. This was how hers came out:



Why she chose to make a piano is anyone's guess, but her teacher liked it so much she decided to exhibit it during open house:



The bench seat has a working lid, and you really can hold both pieces in the palm of your hand:



When I asked the kid how she was able to write the sheet music in such a small space (each page is about the size of a postage stamp) she told me she sharpened a mechanical pencil by rubbing the lead against some paper until it was thin enough.
