The additional fabric I ordered for the quilt I'm making with the Spoonflower yardage I designed finally arrived, and I put together my fabric palette:
Now it's time to decide on which patchwork design I want to use. I had three or four ideas, but the one that's been sticking with me is a Shimacho quilt pattern by Susan Briscoe:
I like the way the Shimacho design showcases the fabrics. They seem to float against the neutral back fabric, and also look a bit like windows in a lattice:
This pattern requires a lot of precise cutting and piecing, though, so I might do a small practice pillow cover first to see if it's going to drive me insane.
