Even the trash at the flea market is interesting.

Ugly Duckling

I didn't realize until I got home and downloaded my camera onto the computer that there were swans in the background of this shot; I just thought the old duck was cool. So, an ugly duckling?

This could be the world's oldest computer smiley. :)

Peppers are so photogenic.

Seven-Up Bottle

I remember bottles like this lining the back of the wall at our local drugstore's diner counter. Yes, when I was a kid we used to be able to get sodas and ice cream and even whole meals at the drugstore! Ha.

A Trip to the Flea Market

This week I'll be posting pics of all the neat stuff I saw during my last trip to the flea market. Like this old beauty:

Twilight Heron

My guy actually took this one, the night we spent walking down by the lake. I think he's getting the hang of digital photography, too.

Sunset Flash

Life is so short; like a sunset, it's over in a flash. Don't miss these moments. Get out there and discover them!

My Guy

He's always loved sunsets, and now he's learning how to use a digital camera to go take pictures with me. Not all gadgets are bad; some can help you capture memories like this.

Short Pier

We don't live forever, and as we grow older the chances we have to see things like this grow fewer, the time we have left to look at them dwindles away. I guess that's what I wish I could tell that guy I saw texting.

Long Pier

Absolute serenity. And a very cool boat, too. :)

Lake Twilight

The lake here attracts people and boats and birds; the sunset gilds all of them and turns their moment in time into a lovely portrait.

Hiding in the Bushes

When the sun sets it makes everything more intense, more beautiful. Even looking at through the bushes like this almost guarantees a glorious shot.

Sunset Texter

Saw this dude the other night while my guy and I were walking down by the lake:

Seemed a shame he was more interested in his gadget than the beautiful sunset, so I'm going to dedicate this week's pics to the other things he didn't see. :)

Birdhouse Web

Cameras (and photos) can always teach you to look closer at your world. Take for example this shot, which I snapped to show the sunlight illuminating our birdhouse feeder:

I couldn't see it at the time, but the sun also illuminuted this little spider web between the hanging strap and the tree:

When I resized the pic to get a close-up of that spider web, I noticed a little rainbow flash in the corner, and resized it again to have a look, discovering this, an even tinier web:

I Want One

I resisted buying this artsy fake dressform -- have no real purpose or space for it, frankly -- but it was a battle.
