Batik Tote

I had a bunch of 2-1/2" batik strips left over from a quilt I made last year, so I decided to sew them into a tote:

I didn't have enough of any color to match the sides, but since it was a project just for fun I didn't worry about it.

In the center of each side panel I glued a resin and metal butterfly bezel; these were leftovers from a journaling project:

Even the batting I used was cut from pieces trimmed from other projects, so this tote is a true scrap buster.

While it may be a scrap buster it is truly beautiful. Love the colors!

Thanks, Marie -- I thought it came out really well for such a scrappy project. :)
