This past weekend we were hit with the worst hail storm I've ever experienced in my life. It lasted almost five minutes and violently showered us with thousands of quarter- and golfball-size hail stones. The noise from them striking the roof, windows and doors was practically deafening.
Luckily my guy (who at the time was outside doing some yard work) came inside just a few seconds before the storm struck, so he wasn't hurt, and our property damage was minimal. We also checked on our neighbor's livestock, and they made it through unhurt (although they were all covered with leaves that had been shredded from the trees.)
I can't believe all our cars got through it without shattered windows, but they made it through okay as well.
